Reading Program

Dear 4C families, 

Consistent reading habits are fundamental to your child's reading growth. To encourage positive reading habits this year, your child will be tracking their reading on a progress tracker in our classroom. They will be recording the books and pages they read in a reading log book, and watch their number move up our progress tracker. After reaching the top of the tracker, they will come see me for a prize and repeat the process. The logbook will be kept in their Home Folder so it can continue to travel to and from school each day. 

Throughout the year, any reading your child does will count towards our tracker. This means that reading can occur at home, school, on the bus, etc. If your child reads the same book twice, it can only be counted the first time it is read.
